About Maryellen
Maryellen is a warm, empathetic care provider who understands the importance of being fully present and engaged with her clients. She helps her clients identify the issues causing them distress and helps them explore holistic, evidence-based treatment options.
Maryellen works with clients ages 18-65 facing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, insomnia, stress, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She provides psychiatric assessments, talk therapy, and medication management. Everyday challenges, life transitions, adverse experiences, and personal stressors can manifest in the form of stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, etc. A thorough psychiatric interview and assessment can bring those issues to light. Maryellen’s goal is to cultivate therapeutic partnerships that enhance her clients’ overall wellness, create a sense of balance, and enable them to meet life’s challenges.
My favorite motto would be-Build A Better Boat. "Better Boat" is a song title written by artist Kenny Chesney, that I find to be a most powerful metaphor representing the reality that life can be hard sometimes. Storms come and seas get rough. I see my professional role as being one that helps others build their own "Better Boat" so that when storms come as they will, those we treat can navigate safely through storms in a stronger boat, until the storm passes and they find calmer seas.
