About Kevin
Kevin Sustad is a licensed mental health counselor. Since he started working with patients in 2021, Kevin has worked to create a warm, comfortable, and safe space for patients to embark on their therapeutic journey. He believes that establishing a solid therapeutic relationship from the beginning helps patients feel welcome during sessions, giving them the ability to achieve their goals. He aims to support patients in addressing the difficulties they face throughout their lives. Patients can expect an active listener and a judgment-free space to disclose their problems while working on interventions to help them heal. Kevin helps patients dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and more. He offers alternative thinking patterns in response to challenges, reframing anxious or depressive thoughts. Kevin uses an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing techniques (MI) to meet patient needs. In his spare time, Kevin likes to work out, go to the beach, and spend time in the sunshine. Exercise is his main stress reliever. Kevin enjoys working with SohoMD because of its mission to provide individualized care.

About Angeli
Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.
Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
