About Carrie
Carrie LaBarge is a licensed clinical social worker. Carrie knows each individual has unique struggles. She helps patients identify their strengths and resources as she helps them through their journey. Her goal is to support patients by providing a safe place to share their experiences, allowing them to grow and live a more fulfilling life. When working with Carrie, patients can expect kindness, compassion, and a non-judgmental experience that will also help them challenge some of the ways they’re feeling stuck. Carrie uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, EMDR, and emotional freedom technique (also known as tapping). Since she started working with patients in 2008, she’s gained experience treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, PTSD, control disorders, mood disorders, life stressors, and more. She works with patients between the ages of 18 and 55. Carrie spends most of her spare time playing games and going outside with her two small children. She also enjoys riding ATVs along the trails near her home. One fun fact about her is that she lives in a rural area of upstate New York, where at one point, there were more cows than people! Carrie enjoys working at SohoMD because it provides therapists with the support and resources they need to devote their time to their patients.
